      YOU KNOW THEY SAY is David's 2019 CD release with six new songs and one live recording of the title track from David's third album, I Thought You Knew. The album also includes the song, Purple, written in response to the passing of one of David's most respected artists, Prince.

      The album design is an homage to jazz and blues albums of the 50s, expressing a raw energy, and yet light-hearted and fun. Guests on the album include, Shane Posey, Larry Dickerson, Laurence Lee, Jeffrey Lewis, and Steve Carr.
